Protein Hazelnut Spread
Updated: Feb 14, 2021
This hazelnut spread is one of my very first recipes I created! It's extra creamy and rich you'll love it with some nice bread or if you're like me you'll also enjoy simply eating spoonfulls of it!
Hope you love it!
Ingredients
100g Hazelnuts
3tbsp Oil of choice
1tbsp Isagenix chocolate protein powder
1tbsp Cocoa powder
1tbsp zero-calorie brown sugar
3tbsp Honey
1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any milk of choice)
2tbsp vanilla extract
Directions
-Preheat the oven at 325F.
-Roast hazelnuts in the oven for 30 minutes (shaking them every 10 minutes).
-If they have skin, take it off using a clean rag and rubbing them together.
-Let them cool down.
-Blend the hazelnuts until they become pasty.
-Add the oil with the nuts, and blend until it's homogeneous and the nuts are finer.
-Add the Isagenix chocolate protein powder, the cocoa and the zero-calorie brown sugar to the mix.
-Blend all of them together as well.
-Add the honey, the milk and the vanilla extract, and blend the whole thing until it's completely uniform.
-You've successfully done your hazelnut spread!
XTRA STUFF
-If you don't have protein powder, just replace it with cocoa.
-And if you want to put only chocolate protein powder, feel free to do so!
-I add both because I love how rich the cocoa powder tastes.
-The nuts need to be at room temperature or less before you start blending them.
-There's about 15 servings with this recipe, each serving is 84 calories.
-One serving is 1 tablespoon.
